Love it and at that price it is spectacular. I was hoping it would be real leather, but the vegan leather looks and feels really good. The paper isn't Japanese grade but it's decent. Would love to see one in an A5 size soon.

A Journal That Grows With You

My days usually move between technical drawings, architectural sketches and concepts, and then into ink illustrations, travel notes, short stories, personal thoughts and random creative scribbles. I needed one journal that could hold both my structured professional work and creative side. The one book that could hold all of that together. This journal does exactly that. I was looking for something that had a vintage, classic feel, but was also practical and easy to carry, something I could slip into a small sling bag, a backpack, or just hold in my hand while moving around. The Traveler fits perfectly into that lifestyle. One of my favourite things is the ring binder system, being able to remove used pages and add new ones makes it feel like a long term creative companion rather than a one time notebook.

About the paper

Traveler uses 80 GSM paper.

It’s light enough to keep the journal compact and easy to carry, and sturdy enough for everyday writing on the move. Most people use it for notes, thoughts, light sketches, and writing as they travel.

It’s not thick art paper, and it’s not meant to be. Thicker paper adds weight and bulk - things you notice quickly when you’re carrying a journal everywhere.

The Story Behind This Book

He was on a journey across India – from the cold mountains of Jammu to the tranquil backwaters of Kerala.

On a cool evening in Jaisalmer, the golden city of India, he found himself atop an ancient fort, gazing out over the sprawling sand dunes that shimmered under the setting sun. This is where the idea for the Traveler was born.

As a passionate traveler, he always had a notebook by his side. As he reached for his trusty companion to sketch the breathtaking scene, he realized he was on the last few pages—his journey was not over, but his notebook soon would be.

A few months into his journey, this was a recurring predicament, and that wasn’t the only problem.

He needed a journal that would withstand rain from a sudden monsoon shower, the crush of a crowded train, or the dust from rural trails – something that would protect his pages, and hold his recorded memories together.

At that moment, it sparked a thought: What if there was a notebook designed for travelers like him, one that never ran out of space for new experiences? One that could stick with him throughout his journey, not just around the country, but around the world?

That night, back in his small, lamp-lit room, he sketched the initial designs for what would become ‘The Traveler’ — a robust, vegan leather-bound journal with replaceable pages, designed specifically for travellers like himself. Today, you can buy this too.
